Terms of use

These are the terms you agree to when you use Grantiv. We've written them in plain language rather than legal boilerplate, because terms you can't read aren't terms you've agreed to. If anything here isn't clear, email hello@grantiv.com.au and ask.

Grantiv is operated by Grantiv Pty Ltd (ABN 21 689 898 002), based in Brisbane, Australia. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Grantiv Pty Ltd, and "you" means whoever is using it.

What Grantiv does — and what it doesn't

Grantiv helps you find Australian grant programs that fit your organisation, and helps you write applications for them. That's the whole product, and the limits of it matter:

Your account

You need an account for most of Grantiv. Keep your sign-in details to yourself — anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us at hello@grantiv.com.au if you think someone else has access.

One account is one person or one organisation. The Advisor plan is the exception and is meant for exactly this: it's built for consultants and accountants managing grants for many client organisations under a single login.

Plans and payment

The yearly price is ten months' worth for twelve months of access. It's charged once, up front, for the year.

Prices are in Australian dollars and are the full amount you pay. Grantiv is not registered for GST, so no GST is charged on top and none is included in these prices. Your receipts are invoices rather than tax invoices, for the same reason. If that changes we'll tell you before it affects what you pay.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — Stripe does, and their terms and privacy policy apply to that part. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it.

Paid plans include a monthly allowance of credits, which are what AI actions in Grantiv draw on. They don't roll over — an unused allowance doesn't accumulate, and we'd rather say so here than have you discover it.

Credits are monthly on every plan, including the yearly one. Paying for a year doesn't hand you twelve months of credits on day one — you get your plan's monthly allowance, refreshed each month on the same date your subscription renews. We're spelling this out because "annual plan" could reasonably be read the other way, and it isn't how it works.

Changing or cancelling your plan

You can cancel at any time from Manage billing on your plan page, which opens Stripe's billing portal. What happens then:

What happens to your work

Cancelling or downgrading doesn't delete anything.

AI-generated drafts

The Application Writer produces a draft using AI. Read it before you use it.

Grant information

Grantiv's grant records come from the funders' own published material, collected automatically and reviewed by us where we can. We work at keeping it accurate, and we can't promise it always is: programs change dates, change rules and close early without telling anyone.

Before you rely on a closing date, an amount or a requirement, check it against the funder's own page. Every grant in Grantiv links to its source for exactly that reason.

Using Grantiv sensibly

Don't scrape or bulk-download the grant database, resell access, share your login, try to get around usage limits, or use Grantiv to break the law or a funder's rules. We may suspend an account doing any of that, and we'll tell you why.

If something goes wrong

Grantiv comes with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that we can't exclude and aren't trying to. Among other things, our services must be provided with due care and skill and be fit for the purpose we've described. If we fail those guarantees you may be entitled to a refund, a re-supply, or compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss — and nothing anywhere on this site takes that away from you.

Beyond those rights, and to the extent the law allows: Grantiv is provided as it is, we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we're not liable for a grant you didn't get, a deadline you missed, or a decision a funder made.

If you think something's gone wrong, email hello@grantiv.com.au first. It's one person reading it and we'd rather fix it than argue about it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Grantiv changes. If a change affects what you pay or materially reduces what you get, we'll tell you by email before it takes effect, and you can cancel if you don't accept it. Small corrections we'll just make, and the date at the top will tell you when.

Privacy

What we collect and why is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Notices and law

Formal notices and legal correspondence should be sent by email to hello@grantiv.com.au. That's the address of record — please don't send anything of that kind by post.

These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia.
